4. Obituary information on L.C. Prentiss provided by Betty Niswender, e-mail dated 22 Feb 2003, re: Pye family.  Entire obit reads: 'L. C. PRENTISS OF KERSEY DEAD;  TO BE BURIED IN GREELEY.  L. C. Prentiss,  a well known resident of Weld and Larimer
   counties. died at his home in Kersey Saturday, at the age of 62 years.
   He was born in Ontario, Wis., and at the age of 20 moved to Lincoln
   Center, Kans., and while teaching school there he married Lacella M. Pye
   in 1880.  From Kansas he moved to Longmont.   Besides his wife there are six children surviving, as follows: Mrs. Clara Belle Gehm of Fort Collins; Clarence R. Prentiss of Lyons,
   George S. Prentiss  Scott-bluff; Lewis D. Prentiss, Wybert S. Prentiss
   and Charles O. Prentiss all of Kersey. The funeral was arranged for Tuesday afternoon in Greeley, at the Dawson parlors.  The interment will be in the Greeley cemetery.
5. Linn Grove (Greeley, CO) Cemetery book: Prentiss, Leroy Clarence, date of death Feb. 4, 1922, age, 62y 3m 22d buried in Block C, Lot 8, space 6 and he does not have a tomestone.   Information provided by Betty Niswender, same e-mail.
6. Betty Niswender also has copy of marriage certificate from Lincoln County, Kansas.  "Clarence L. Prentice of Lincoln County, age 21 years and Mahala L. Pye of Lincoln County, aged 16 years married August 6, 1880 in Lincoln County, Kansas.
